classic and somewhat rare us-made ibis ss, circa 1992. currently a killer bikepacking setup, bar bike, all-rounder. $850 includes two front wheels, including a hand built panasonic dynamo setup that retails for $300 on its own with an integrated usb charger. (b+m luxos iq, with taillight and high-beam function.) This is in addition to the stock mavic PSP Profil 231/Paris-Gao-Dakar front wheel that matches the rear. 3x7 suntour xc pro shifters and rear derailleur, suntour xc ltd crankset and front derailleur, nos suntour xc pro bb, new sugino 48/38/24 rings. the rear mech lets you ride just fine in both big/big and small/small combinations. 14-32t 7-speed freewheel currently. size 18.5”. the very last tumbleweed cromo bars with an 80mm IRD faceplate style stem. long pull v brakes, avid levers. maxxis 26x2.1” dth tires. mavic PSP rims and Paris-Gao-Dakar hubs, 130mm rear spacing. dyno wheel is a socketed tioga rim laced to a panasonic dynamo, which are hugely underrated. front blackburn porteur style rack. bottle cage, bell, and stem bag not included, otherwise what you see is what you get. 2.5" hite rite included. paint is custom original imron silver (non-stock color from that year). clean frame, no dents, a little chain suck. beautiful welds. decals are cracked but all intact except the 'ss' on the drive side top tube. model is a 1992 ss, precursor to the mojo which started the same year this ended according to ibis' catalogs - mojo was suspension corrected with 1" longer tt as compared to the ss, which was previously made in japan as the ss avion or avion, depending on where you look and who you ask. this one was made in california and per magazines from that year retailed with the suntour kit for about $1950 though suntour was not a standard offering at the time.
